Bio - John was born in Wadsworth, Ohio and was raised in several small towns in Arkansas. After several moves, his parents would end up in Paragould, Arkansas where he would spend all of this high school days. The youngest of three, John was given a basketball at a very young age. A first team All-State player out of high school, he went on to play at Ole Miss. John was hampered by numerous knee surgeries throughout his college career that limited his time on the court, but he still played a key role on the team that ended up with the best record in school history 27-8 and made a run to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament his senior year. John was Co-President of his FCA huddle in high school and a key part of the Leadership Team at Ole Miss.

After graduating with a degree in marketing, he came on staff with FCA starting in August of 2001. John now works alongside the coaches and student leadership in the high schools of 10 counties in North Mississippi. In doing so he encourages coaches, organizes FCA events for the District 2 area, trains and equips student leaders, as well as works with coaches and athletes to build and maintain effective huddle ministries on each high school campus.

June 13, 2009 marked the date that John married his beautiful, first wife, Amanda.  From Greenville, MS, and a graduate of Ole Miss' class of 2005, Amanda has taught school in Marks and Water Valley, MS.  She is currently working as an office manager for Gililland Orthodonics.
